Emotions are hard. Letting others in and trusting them is hard. There’s fear and pain, misunderstandings and heartbreak. Loving someone, feeling things deeply, and having a heart is a heavy burden… but it’s one that we should take seriously. When someone gives us their trust, their heart, we should hold it carefully like it’s made of glass. When we feel things, we should be gentle with ourselves. Above all else, we should not be afraid of the weight of our hearts or love.

A heart is a heavy burden, and it is our obligation to take care of our hearts and the hearts that are bestowed upon us by others.
