Cheers to those like me.

The ones who love deeper and more completely than they will ever be loved in return, no matter how many times they’ve been hurt. The ones who keep everything inside just to keep the peace as they’ve always done. The ones who never really feel like they matter, not the way they think others matter. The ones who would sometimes rather be alone because at least alone no one else can hurt them. The ones who are afraid to trust when trust has been broken over and over again, but who keep giving their trust anyway. The ones who hold their own hands through it all. The ones who feel damaged, broken beyond repair some days, but who keep trying anyway. The ones who take in the pain of others as if it’s their burden to bear too. The ones who are afraid of trust and love and life, but trust and love and live despite it all.
