Sunday Posts for October: Part Four

The photograph gave Owen pause, and he sat staring at it for a long time.

It was eerily familiar, like deja vu. Owen was certain that he had seen this picture before somewhere, but he couldn’t place where.

After a moment, he closed his laptop, feeling unsettled. Why had the photograph felt so familiar?

Owen dug out his textbooks from his backpack and got to work on his homework.

In the middle of reading a passage for his sophomore Language Arts class, Owen was struck with a thought. Putting the book down, he ventured downstairs.

He stood in the hallway leading from the foyer to the kitchen, scanning the wall of family photos. In the top left corner of a collage, Owen spotted a picture that was nearly identical to the one he had seen online.

Owen leaned closer to the picture, a picture he had seen his entire life. How could this be possible?

What did it mean?
